Dear readers,

The twenty-third issue of apt brings with it a surprise: our prose contributions outweigh our verse. On the fiction front, we have work from Leah Browning, Jonathan Curelop, James P. Hanley, Harriett Jernigan, Kevin P. Keating, Meghan Lamb, and Robert Wexelblatt; for poetry, we're featuring the work of Liam Day, John Grey, and Mignon Ariel King. Enjoy each piece, as there's a healthy spectrum of topics and themes this time around.

On a more personal note, we want to congratulate our esteemed colleagues (and friends), J.F. Lynch and Robin Mork. They'll be celebrating their wedding next month and we're taking this opportunity to parade the news of their happy union all over the internet. Hats off to you, dears. Check the dedication—you'll be best pleased.

Issue twenty-four will appear sometime in April, along with news of a new reading series in the Boston area. Keep your fingers crossed that our venue comes through. And if you're local and interested in reading, send us an e-mail.

Less than a month until spring,

Carissa Halston
Randolph Pfaff
J.F. Lynch
Robin E. Mork
