Nobody can screw with me because
I’m old and fat now and
I can walk down the street in the middle of the night
And nobody will stop me. I can go up
To any nutcase on the street and ask
For the time or a cigarette
And they won’t say anything about my ass or my tits
And they’ll probably call me “ma’am.”
I may not stop traffic with my beautiful hair
Or be invited to private islands by exotic millionaire playboys
But I can go to the worst part of town any time I want
And make it back home, safe and sound.
