Personal History. One.

Amanda Wilding

Sloping shoots,

Fingers splayed.   Ridges

Gesture silences, secrets

Unspoken

                        Your wax

Mask melts on your breath.

Our worn words

Drown in stagnant saliva.

A mountain inverted,

Chin's up.   Adam's apple

Bobbing beneath seeds

Planted before your picking.

Armor will crush your cage.

Steel inside skin.

A sigh is heaved:

a mover hauling

A piano.

Contained in a rolling plain,

a pressure-cooker

     Pressing the past,

A small child stepping

On the heavy, bloated bladder

of history.

Process the pleasures,

Please leave the piss.
