Stag's Leap
by
I am looking into these vineyards at dusk,
listening to the bullfrogs hiccup sympathy to the clanking rails,
the damp wisteria hanging violet on the vine.
I am not thinking of you.
I am thinking of the romance of myself.
And that is what will save us.
